Homeless veterans need the basics — socks, towels, hygiene products, warm clothing. You don't need to write a check to make a difference. Donate supplies, build a care package, or organize a drive.
What veterans need right now.
These are the items our veterans ask for most. New items preferred, but gently used clothing and towels are welcome.
New, white or black crew socks. #1 most requested item by homeless veterans. All sizes.
New or gently used bath towels and washcloths. Dark colors preferred.
Toothbrush, toothpaste, deodorant, soap, shampoo, razors, lip balm. Travel or full size.
New or gently used jeans, t-shirts, hoodies, jackets, belts, and work boots. Men's M–XXL most needed.
Warm blankets, sleeping bags, and pillows. Critical in winter months.
Sturdy backpacks or duffel bags. Many veterans carry everything they own.
Protein bars, peanut butter, canned goods, instant oatmeal, trail mix, beef jerky.
Ibuprofen, antacids, cold medicine, bandages, antibiotic ointment, sunscreen, insect repellent.
Prepaid phone cards or minutes. Veterans need phones for job interviews, VA appointments, and staying connected.
A note of encouragement goes further than you think. Write a letter to a veteran.
